An Alpine Divorce

by Robert Barr

What drives us to do most of what we do? Emotions. Two of our most powerful emotions are love and hate which often inhabit similar spaces in our lives and when taken to extremes lead us to behave in surprising way. This chilling short story is an example of a young couples emotions propelling them toward shocking behavior.

Robert Barr was a prolific short story author, but not particularly well known. Born in Scotland and raised in Canada, he created the majority of his work after emigrating to England in 1881.
